The Sims 4 Extreme Violence Modification: All You Need to Know

The Sims is a game series that involves the creation of a simulation with control and management firmly with the player. The game provides its players with the freedom to do practically anything with their simulations. Apart from its base version, the Sims 4 currently has 34 DLCs, 17 Stuff Packs, 9 Expansion Packs, and 8 Game Packs, with the result being better customization options for the players. Despite these updates, there are several other features that players want from the game to ensure realistic gameplay as well increased capacity to create the kind of lives, worlds, and stories that appeal to them.

In The Sims 4, players are provided with an extended control of their Sims and their customizations. As such, they are able to customize their Sims however they want and have them live their lives in accordance to their whims and desires. Despite the amount of control the game provides its players, it is almost impossible to do everything you want with your Sims. For instance, the type of hairstyle or color of hair a player wants for his or her Sim might not be available; this means the player (you) will have to make do with the available colors and styles, even if you don’t want to.

In a bid to get past these restrictions, members of the gaming community created mods with the intention of helping players expand their Sim’s life beyond the available customization options. It is important to note that the Sims modding community has been able to address a large number of features desired by players of the game but which were unavailable. For instance, players can now create and share custom content. They can also add specific features to the game that allow them (the players) to tell a wider variety of stories.

Understanding What a Mod is

Just like the name suggests, a mod is a modification to a game, and it is usually created by a member of that game’s community. Oftentimes, these modifications are developed in line with the desires of the particular game community, and occasionally, they end up being more effective than the official updates implemented by the game developer(s). While these modifications can sometimes be outrageous, they are usually fun implementations that render a game more exciting and enjoyable.

Mods have become a big part of The Sims experience as The Sims 4 already has a section in its menu that is devoted to the use of mods. This allows its players to enable these modifications without having to go through any difficult processes on the back end. This means that all you have to do to use mods on The Sims 4 is to download the mods you intend to use, install them, and enable them from within the game.

Some of the mods available for the Sims 4 are:

  • MC Command Center
  • UI Cheats Extension
  • SimDa Dating App
  • Slice of Life Mod
  • Better Schools Mod
  • Littlemssam’s Food Delivery Service
